“Tea in the Waiting Room,”
a work-in-progress about contemporary life in Syria by NYC filmmaker Jean Marie Offenbacher.
The film is chock full of interviews with students, educators, and the average citizen,
talking about their culture, their values and their attitude toward gender roles (i.e., SEX!).
Come learn interesting facts about this country, such as it has the lowest crime rate in the
world and that students get an education based on their grades, not financial income.
Director Jean Marie will be present to introduce and lead a post-film discussion.
