I-5 to Lomas Santa Fe in Solana Beach. East on Lomas Santa Fe a mile or so
to the first stop sign which is Highland. Left onto Highland, go to the
bottom of the hill where the road ends in a 'T' intersection at a fragment
of El Camino Real. Right on El Camino Real. The park entrance comes up
shortly on your right. Parking inside the park costs 2$, or you can park
outside & walk in. After passing the parking payment machine, take the left
fork and head all the way to the eastern end where the street forms a loop.
You should be able to hear the drums. We play in a lovely clearing under
some eucalyptus trees. Note: this is the lower park entrance - there is
also an upper park entrance but you can't get to the drum circle from there.
Dogs need to be on leashes. Kids and grandparents welcome. There are
bathroom facilities.

Hi Ladies, This month (Oct 2) we will be celebrating our 6 year anniversary
of coming together and creating the most amazing womens DRUM circle. We have
been celebrating so much beauty together. Supporting each other as we have
come together to experience the healing energy of the DRUM. It is powerful.
We are powerful. We will hold this circle at Paradise Point in Mision Bay
around a beautiful bonfire, beginning with a potluckdinner.Elisawillhold
her class under the trees by the bay. I'm sending this announcement out a
little early so we can really get the word out. I still need volunteers to
hold our spot (bonfire pit and tables) down at the bay. I will take the
9-11am shift. We need someone there @ 7am-9am and also11:30-3pm. Please call

Attention Dancers: two exciting dance events happening this month. First of
all, Abdoulaye Camara is back in town for one week only, the first week of
October and teaching in Encinitas on Oct. 3rd and San Clemente Oct. 2nd (see info
below). Secondly, Sekou Soumah, guest teacher from Portland, has just started
teaching a class on Weds. nights at Eveoke, and we had a special guest drummer who decided to play for his first class last Weds. Guess who it was??? Sekou will be teaching
the next 5 Wednesdays and I heard a rumor that our guest drummer will be sitting in
again!


Attention Drummers: If you want to get in on Mamady's classes there is still

Important Parking Info:
Please note, Sept. 29th class is on the same days as a Padres game!!! Be
sure and leave early and bring extra money for parking: in the lots it will cost $10 - $15--so
carpooling is recommended. Other options: take the Trolly, or park in Horton Plaza a few blocks away. Yellow loading zones are free after 6 pm! On non-game nights there is an underground lot next to Eveoke that only charges
$1 per hour, and a lot across the street that costs $4 for the evening.

Mamady Keita's classes are underway but you can still enroll if you hurry!
Registration will close the third week of classes (Oct. 5th - 7th)--so if you want to
join any of the classes then please let me know and you must attend class no later than the
week of Oct 5th. New students will not be allowed in after those dates. If you are
unable to take any of Mamady's fall classes you will have another chance in the spring for
